Here we go again! The hurricane season is finally delivering its first threatening storm towards Florida. As our local weather forecast seems to vary from day to day, it's become more and more evident that we will be visited by Fay within the next 5 days, either as a tropical storm or a hurricane. Lets just say that if Fay visits, I'll be hitting the road north for a couple of days. I have no inclination to stay put and witness the radical "swooning" of pine trees staring at me in front, beside and behind my house. Fortunately, Amelia Island has been spared from the many storms that swirled through Florida in the last 8 years. No major storms have hit our area since I've moved here but the locals have repeatedly mentioned that our 100 year mark has passed and that a major hit is eminent. So, if I stay silent for a few days, know that I'm comfortably sitting in a no wind zone watching The Weather Channel and praying I have a home to come back to. Hasta Luego Amigos!
